Reflections on Motherhood

Sometimes I fall into the trap of complaining about my kids. They whine and scream and cry. They bicker with each other and make angry faces at me. They make messes. They pull out my bookmarks and empty my wallet. They are mortally offended if they catch me asleep.

But there are a few moments every day that make it all worthwhile: Receiving a toothless smile, hearing a sweet little voice say "I like you and I love you and I think you're beautiful," or just sitting on the couch with three little warm bodies and reading "Frog and Toad."

Sure they're annoying sometimes---they're children! But they're my children, and they love me! So do I ever wish I'd pursued a career and become successful? Really, that's a ridiculous question. I did pursue a career and become successful. I'm a mom and my children love me. What greater success can there be?

I have to figure out how to do that video thing. That is a great way to showcase a lot of pictures at once. Very cute family.
